I am very disturbed by this whole affair. I am a very loyal Bill O'Reilly fan and have been watching his show over the past 15 years. I have read and maybe own all of his books. His views and perspectives on the issues that affect all of us are spot on and impactful. So I am very troubled by the fact he would even put himself in a position to be driven off the Fox Network.
Speaking as a husband and a father of a daughter and step daughters, the allocations about his conduct towards women, particularly to women who worked for him and around him are just repulsive. It puts him in the same category as Bill Clinton, and you all know how much I despise that former president. So, as much as it pains me to say, his departure from Fox News is the right thing to do.
Yet at the same time I find it most interesting that unlike Bill Clinton, Bill O'Reilly has been hung, drawn and quartered in the press. They have made heroines of his victims and mercilessly perused him until they succeeded in getting him off the air. Where Clinton was protected, O'Reilly was vilified and defamed because he did not drink the liberal progressive cool aid. If O'Reilly had been a liberal, his weakness and indiscretions would have been resume enhancements....a liberal Alpha Male.
So for now, they have effectively silenced him as conservative, much like the Brown Shirt Nazis had to silence the Black Shirts and everyone else who stood in the way of Hitler's rise. Yes, liberalism is the new fascism in spite of their protest to the contrary. My hope is that Fox News has the bench depth to fill his void.

I would watch him every so often......I rarely agreed with his point of view, but once in awhile I'd have to admit that he had a good point on something. I did like his personality, and the way he conducted himself on air. Unfortunately, many men who achieve a certain level of status seem to think that status entitles them to conduct themselves in inappropriate ways with women.......see Bill "Have a cigar" Clinton.....Donald "grab 'em by the pussy" Trump.....the "Love Gov" from Alabama......the "Appalachian Trail" Gov from South Carolina......Senator "the madam has my number" Vitter......Senator "Monkey Business" Hart.......the list goes on and on, with both parties well represented. Apparently, Bill O'Reilly fell into this trap. Time to go.....

I don't know nothing about nothing, especially when it comes to Bill O'Reilly and his conduct with the women who work for him. However, Bill suffered from the same problem as all talking heads. At some point, your needle gets stuck. You repeat yourself so often that you lose context and don't know that you're doing it. You develop formulas for responding to questions. I well remember a popular radio show talk psychologist who once announced that she had twenty-seven responses that would cover all personal problems. Her show was cancelled shortly thereafter because, like me, I think everybody knew them and were tired of hearing them repeated. Once upon a time we referred to such acts as "a one trick pony". Sadly, the Left has even few tricks and become boring even sooner.
