Well he knew because Bush 2.0 told him lol. Sorry I had to say it and I'm dying laughing at the fact anyone would believe anything Obama said. He spent 8 years blaming Bush, and saying climate change is out greatest worry. He set up ISIS to take power by lack of action in the Middle East and his domestic policies have set fire to this Nation. Obama was the WORST President in the history of America.

Wasn’t ISIS the remnants of Saddam's Baathist Army? And why were they allowed to keep their weapons? Not trying to exonerate Obama, but he did not operate in a vacuum.

Some in the Obama administration used the word "declared" in front of chemical weapons, others forgot to use it. It seems that at minimum they hoped to mislead people. What is the difference between "declared" weapons and undeclared weapons? This parsing of words is how they will deal with it.
It sounded like they accomplished something they actually hadn't done. Namely, getting rid of ALL of Syria's chemical weapons. That is obvious now it was cloudy at the time. At the time the Obama administration trusted the Russians enough to let them monitor the process and relied on them to remove the weapons. Laughable if not so sad.

Cpl Jeff N. good point, that is a good quality lawyer speak sort of lie. If they only spoke of declared weapons then they werent liars but they were intentionally misleading everyone. This sort of double talk only makes sense to lawyers and politicians.

We must remember that at the time:
Podesta was making millions.
Billy boy getting $500,000. To speak to Podesta's partners in Moscow.
hillary approved the sale of 20% of strategic Uranium Reserve to Putin's Russia, what was the "contribution" they got for the clinton foundation?
Based on this I would say it was in their best interest to ignore Russia's action in Syria.
Congress should be investigating all of them for treason and corruption.

GySgt John Olson - Declared was the weasel word. It would give them plausible deniability if CW were found later. They would fall into the "undeclared" category. The entire episode of "removing" Syria's chemical weapons and doing a victory lap about what geniuses they were was Kabuki theater for the easily fooled.
The Obama administration lied about the removal of the CW from Syria even when reports were telling us they still had them. The narrative had to be that Syria had given them up even in light of solid evidence they had not (you know, evidence like they had used them).
An excerpt from testimony by James Clapper in 2016 regarding Syria's CW program:
We assess that Syria has not declared all the elements of its chemical weapons program to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). Despite the creation of a specialized team and months of work by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to address gaps and inconsistencies in Syria’s declaration, numerous issues remain unresolved. Moreover, we continue to judge that the Syrian regime has used chemicals as a means of warfare since accession to the CWC in 2013. The OPCW Fact-Finding Mission has concluded that chlorine had been used on Syrian opposition forces in multiple incidents in 2014 and 2015. Helicopters—which only the Syrian regime possesses—were used in several of these attacks

The Kabuki Theater was for the benefit of the Democratic base. The bigger the lies they are told, the more impressed they seem to be with the politicians who can tell them and get away with it. They aren't interested in how things work in reality so long as what they hear is what they want to hear and makes them feel good.
