It took about 8 years to break Old habits and retrain some of them... but some have never left or been given up...

It's been three years since I separated, and I'm only just now getting better at behaving normally. Old habits die hard. Therapy has helped a lot, if only to help me see where my habits are actually hurting me or my family.

It's taking me some time but, I am transitioning. I'm making sure I take care of my family, give myself time, and do my best to left friends know when I withdraw from them it's not personal and I'm working through it.

I got married to my wife about halfway through the nine years I worked at a military college prep school as a TAC. She had to advise and help me convert to the fact that I was actually in a civilian job and

....NOT still on active duty with 80 hrs/week being the norm. God bless my wife.

I think I'm almost totally converted back civilian!......... and then my kids wake up and the Cadre in me comes screaming out!.... Hahahaha ha..... though it is true!
