REP. LIEU ANNOUNCES ILLEGITIMACY CLOCK FOR TRUMP’S CONTINUAL VIOLATION OF THE CONSTITUTION

WOW that was the intersection of dumb and pathetic. If I were you I wouldn't have posted this as it makes you look to be both as well.
Now to the meat of what Lieu said. He quotes Article 1 section 9, making it the first time in recent memory that a liberal remembered that we had a constitution. I will skip over the hypocrisy and pretend that Ted actually cared enough to try this motion when HRC was literally selling favors from her office, while she was Sec of State, and collecting millions directly for foreign rulers to purchase influence in the American gov, which is exactly what Article 1 section was designed to prevent.
The key focus here was that our founders understood that people like HRC would exists and that they would use their own personal corruption to enrich themselves. Where that section of the constitution does not apply here, is that Trump is and has sold real products to the general public for more than 30 years. This is called business, I know liberals dont understand that word, but try to follow along. Business is when you offer a product or service to the public. This is VERY different from the intent of the law, where it was written to prevent politicians from selling influence. For example if a sec of state were to sell off a strategic asset like 20% of our uranium to a foreign power in exchange for a donation to a fake charity that would be illegal. By contrast Trump makes rental income among other types from offering real property to the public. This is also true of many members of Congress to include Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) and Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), two wealthy lawmakers who receive rent payments on a bundle of properties — more than 100 apiece. McCaskill was paid at minimum $3.3 million in rent generated from 290 assets and Blumenthal received at least $1.95 million from 109 properties. People like former obama whitehouse ghools Rham Emannual, and Valerie Jarrett, also fit here. The reason that what they do is legal is totally lost on Congressman Lieu, or maybe it isnt and he just puts this out so that unthinking sheep can follow him down the path of stupidity.

The Nominating Committee by unanimous consent determined that this post rises to the level of imbecilic logic worth of this honor.
