Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that 8 years ago pilots Chesley Sullenberger and Jeffrey Skiles glided the plane to a ditching in the Hudson River off midtown Manhattan. All 155 people aboard were rescued by nearby boats and there were few serious injuries.
From what I understand the movie is good. 8 years ago I was employed and working in the Pentagon on a high priority project - as usual in those days.
By the way a close friend of mine is the general manager of New York City's LaGuardia Airport and he held that position in 2009 as well.

I have not seen the movie- it doesn't really sound like something that would river me to a seat for 2 hours. I will say the quick thinking of the crew and the cool headed captain were remarkable. Pretty amazing.
