Wow, that is deplorable if this is an accurate charge that USMC Col. Daniel Wilson, 55, faces charges of sexual assault and sexual abuse of a child SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.
If he really did actually sexually assault, and commit by battery on a child under the age of 16 I hope that he is convicted and sentenced to the maximum time for each and very crime associated with these actions.

I think people are less afraid of turning in their leadership for abuse and rightfully so.

Capt Seid Waddell - they do have a special place in prison for these type of people. That is of course if he is guilty, but they dont just throw charges like this at people in these positions!!

MSgt Michael Bischoff, if he is lucky he will go to a military prison where discipline among the inmates is enforced. If he goes to a civilian prison he will be fresh meat.

I just don't understand. I remember a few years back, either 2014 or 15 several commanding officers were relieved of duty. At one point a navy times article stated, and I want to say but could be off, 22 COs throughout the year had been brought up on charges, mostly for things like this. Why?

Its the rise and fall of the tide, People become complacent in weeding out the bad apples, those bad apples promote the same kind of people as themselves. It eventually hits critical mass and a purge happens The Toxic leadership is scorched earth out of the system. Then the cycle starts again.

The same happens with every ship in the fleet that rise and fall. They get a great crew who all work together great leadership they hit peak performance and then people start to filter out / transfer. Things start to slip, the ship goes down in condition / training / moral / and hits bottom crew is rotated out and the long climb back to the top happens. If you are lucky you get a CO that can push the crew to maintain the High standard but all you need is a bad Chief mess or CO that doesn't care and your going to plummet.

Hope that helps explain how this happens. As for the Col if he did it I hope he has a long and painful life in Kansas making little rocks and trying not to drop the soap.
