The ghost pepper was the first pepper to scientifically test over 1 million Scovilles. Translation? It’s really fucking hot. So what happens when supposedly tough-as-nails veterans eat them? A recent YouTube video pits a Marine against a solder to find out just how painful it is to consume just a half of a ghost pepper each.

The catch? They didn’t bring any milk.

Alex is a Marine Corps veteran while Adam is an Army veteran, and though they are both able to stomach the ghost pepper at first, there is a clear winner and a clear loser when it comes to handling its effects.
