Taya Kyle On Grief: ‘You Can’t Avoid It, And You Can’t Outrun It’

Grief is a natural, but terrible experience. If it's a loved ones death, you never get over it,,but you can get through it. My wife and I know from the experience of one of our sons dying in a drunk driving accident. He died on the 13th of November, 1994 at the age of twenty. My way of dealing with it is to lower my flags to half staff on the 13th of every month and raise them on the 16th, the day we buried him. Oddly, his first name is Kyle.
