I was passed over for promotion six times SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Abraham Lincoln was an early inspiration for me. He was defeated in many elections yet he persevered.
I know this is supposed to be a humorous discussion and I thank you for bringing humor to a sometimes devastating circumstance.

That's about the size of it. Some people get the combination to the safe. Some just have their noses to the grindstone and forget it's a dog eat dog world and it doesn't really matter how hard you work, but how hard it LOOKS like you're working.
