As with any study, there is almost always a counter to it. Personally, I think video games in moderation can have a great positive effect on ones brain function. Gaming gets one to think, improves hand-eye coordination, improves reflexive thinking, situational awareness and critical decision making.

I had read all of the material I'd been sent about my effort at humor regarding video games, which, of course, was obv well intentioned, certainly. However, I had also seen that you were apparently ly listed as an admin, and, having chatted about the various answers I'd gotten with my wife, merely thought to send you this by way of explanation. In another submission, yesterday, which was somewhat long, I'm afraid, I'd submitted a serious article on videogame research, in an effort to try to convince the other members here of the certainly most serious reseearch vein I can assure you I'm aware exists regarding the subject, of course. I also was by no means certainly meaning to be excessively light hearted in my answers to others on the site, when they had given me responses, as with yours, of course, which, certainly, were meant in all intellectual seriousness, which, likewise, I oobv entirely realize, as I've tried to express. All of you here have been been most gracious to welcome me into you4 world here, which, similarly, mpboth my wife and myself very greatly appreciate. Being ill now, myself, as is my wife, I, of course, would obv never make light of video games being used for genuine therapeutic reasons, ever, we, especially I, merely wanted to reassure both you, as well, as the other admins, of that, certainly, as well, and, so far as possible, I have been trying, most certainly, to make others on here aware of such sentiments, by all means. I'd never engaged in long term discussions on a forum of this type before, and have had to adjust my personality accordingly. Consequently, please be assured that, henceforward, I will obc try to keep any such efforts at levity to an absolute minimum, by all means. Clearly, I obv perceive that, while well intentioned, as I'd mentioned, such efforts here are capable of being taken in a fashion I'd certainly never intend, which I likewise of course very sincerely regret, as well. It was just that with the latest video game craze being mentioned on here of late, I'd just found some of the thoughts mentioned amusing, and was merely seeking to be amusing in return, pls by all means do know that, of course. However, imapcan obv perceive that a wholly serious demeanor on here is clearly best, which attitude, of course, I will by all means henceforward seek to exhibit at virtually all times, most certainly. I'd only hope that, being as some of the others on the site seemed to be amused by my efforts, that I at least did some good to help leaven the mood, in any event. Pls also do know that, due to my disability now, I of course very greatly enjoy chatting with all of you, most certainly, and would, I assure you, never wish to come across in any fashion, even if well intentioned, that might inadvertently diminish me in the eyes of all of you, we merely also thought I should emphasize that, as well. I, too, find chatting on here most beneficial, and do now, as a result of what happened, have a far better grasp of how ipi should seek to engage in such discussions with the group, if nothing else, we also thought I should perhaps seek to explain that aspect, as well. In any event, we'd of course be most eager to hear your thoughts or thosem of the other admins or mbrs at anytime, and can only tell all of you that we very greatly appreciate your most kind forbearance at my efforts at humor.
