Weather rant! President Obama is NOT manipulating the weather. He is wrong about climate but all these doomsday events are little different than last year. Jade 15, anyone. One guy saying there are only two Jet Streams and one will cross the Equator. Well, first there are the Polar, Arctic and Subtropical Jet Streams. These weather patterns are just that, patterns. There are 5-9 Rossby long wave patterns that circle the globe. Then factor in the S/W troughs, surface heating and cooling. We have convection, advection and Albedo affecting weather with Pressure Gradient Forces (PGF) causing forcing and damming. We have Foehn winds that are a consequence of heavy air funneling down the leeside of mountains. That air is dense and colder. Why? A dip in the Jet Streams to the North and WAA from Mexico which is very hot.

In winter, we have something called AO/ Arctic Oscillation. In it's negative Phase a dip of the Arctic and Polar Jets facilitate very cold air southward into the Mid-Latitude and combined with a mid-latitude baroclinic pattern, we see Cyclogenesis (low formation) This Miller B pattern along with the Cape Hatteras Low and weather from the Gulf of Mexico push moisture over top of the cold dense air from Canada and the warm air riding up over High Pressure causing icy and snowy weather. The Bermuda High also fluxes and serves to block (ideally) storms from reaching the East Coast and if they do, are heavily modified, drying out, warming and drying out over and over and over. This is natural. Both Meteorologists and Climatologists cannot reliably forecast La Nina or El Nino. It's strength, whether the weather environment is conducive for TS formation.

There are so many affects at the surface and aloft, acting in concert with with each other. And this does not account for upwelling and mixing over Oceans, which is another issue to itself.

Remember each and every action... has its own corresponding balancing act. Equal and opposite, remember? The rising water levels can at least in part be influenced by shifting techtonic plates. Subducting and occluding ridges that raise sea levels along with natural calderas which also account for much of the weather and sea levels that we see.

Antarcticas Ice regions are now seeing warming and cooling below ice sheets which has nothing to do with Ozone, CO2, etc, etc, etc.

President Obama cannot control weather. There are no false flags, Martial Law or FEMA camps portending some sort of cataclysmic event or events. Super Hurricanes are not in the offing and neither record strength tornadoes. The ITCZ ( tropical convergence zones, monsoons) have no remarkable characteristics and space weather suggests no reversing polarity at this time or EMPs. More alarmist rants. CPT L S LTC Stephen F.
