I'll stop doing that when you stop calling me a bigot for not sharing your viewpoint.

SSG James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" - Nope, just that 1% bad cops have screwed things up for 99% good cops, and we have forgotten the lessons from Rodney King beaten back in 91, so until we learn to respect our differences and stop using the label of PC which started back in the early 80's "Political Correctness: has always meant one thing and one thing only - treating people who are different from ourselves with fairness and respect" quote John Maxstadt Laredo Texas July 7, 2016.

CPT Pedro Meza I disagree. It is not 1% of the cops. It is the people that do not understand or remember Mr. King. If people would remember not to go on a drugged up 20 miles high speed chase then their odds of an ass beating go down significantly. Not saying it was right that the cops beat his ass, but they didn't just walk up to him.
If you are fighting the cops and you say, "I have a gun!". Then you jam your hand into your pocket while fighting the police and your ass gets shot. That one is completely on you. There was no 1% bad cop.

SGT William Howell - I was a Parole Office in Los Angeles at the time of Rodney King, so no we Law Enforcement do not have the right to beat down any one; I also worked the prison system for two years. And no we still do not shoot a man as we wrestle him down, the issue of saying he reached for his gun so I shoot him multiple times is consider Lawful and awful, and with everything that a Law Enforcement Officer does that falls into Lawful but Awful has consequences.

CPT Pedro Meza So you are saying that Rodney King was all the fault of the police? Nothing to do with running? So tell me what do you do when a guy says, "I have a gun"? then he reaches into his pocket while you're fighting. What kind of ninja trick do you do? At what point is he allowed to shoot?
You know how this would have ended with everyone alive. The guy turned around and put his fucking hands behind his back like he was told. Was the cop right? I don't know. I was not there. I saw the same 10 seconds of video you saw. How long had they fought? Did he lose control of his hand? You can't see any of that.
I'll give that guy my support because cops make life altering decisions fast and with the judgement of fuckers that have never had to walk a day in his shoes. If he is wrong he will pay. If he was right he will pay. 12 police officers already paid for no reason.

You legitimately just trapped people who disagree with you into being wrong. This is entirely narrow minded, which is funny because that's what you are accusing everyone else for being. You're being a bigot by definition. So stop deeming everything someone calls politically correct as it just being a cop out for disagreement. Reading this gives me the impression that you don't even know the definition of politically correct.

LTJG (Join to see) - How is that even remotely what I said? Where are you even getting that? It sounds like because I'm telling you you are mistaking the meaning of a word and you don't like it, that you are accusing me. I'm sorry but your last response kills any credibility you had left. You literally attacked me for disagreeing with you on a definition.

"Giving people of all genders and sexualities the same rights as everyone else is most certainly politically correct." So far I get the impression that you are against political correctness, which would mean that you are against giving people of all genders and sexualities the same rights as everyone else.

Get the impression? So assume?
You can't have a fruitful discussion like this I'm sorry.

ENS Political Correctness. Conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities (as in matters of sex or race) should be eliminated. Liberals add if you don't agree Racist, Homophobe, Bigot, Uneducated or whatever the Scarlet Letter of the day is.
That is what Political Correctness is today. Don't agree with me or my agenda, and I will make you the scourge of society. Equal Rights for everyone is common sense, not political correctness. Attacking those of faith for not agreeing with the LGTB agenda, that is political correctness.
Giving people of all genders and sexualities the same rights as everyone else. Pedophilia is also a sexuality, do we give them the same right to marry the children they want? To engage in sex with the children they want?
The LGTB community is already trying to lower the age of consent through the IASHS On its website, the IASHS lists “basic sexual rights” that includes “the right to engage in sexual acts or activities of any kind whatsoever, providing they do not involve nonconsensual acts, violence, constraint, coercion or fraud with children as young as ten. Now no one could ever coerce or defraud a minor into doing something they don't understand could they. Oh but don't call them pedophiles that is POLITICALLY INCORRECT they like to be called MINOR ATTRACTED PEOPLE!

So let's break this down. The LGBT and now Q community. Just that title is PC bullshit. You're gay or strait. Why do I have to use an acronym to talk about my gay friends? Who came up with that rule? Not the majority. Most people could care less and that is what grinds my gears.
I get forced to make decisions that I don't want to or have to make. I have to stand and be judged every time an issue comes up that I really don't want to have an opinion on. I was driving by a college the other day and a impromptu gay pride parade came marching by. I did not think, "Look at those gay people!" I thought, "Shouldn't they be studying for finals?" and shook my head. Now because I shook my head I am not PC because if somebody saw me they thought I was anti-gay. Which I am not. I am anti-wasting mommies and daddies money running around in parades when your ass has 4 finals in 3 days. I would have shook my head if it had been a bunch of frat boys doing the same thing.
I say this. Why do they get to try to force their opinion on me? I may or may not agree with them or I may not care, but stop forcing yourself on me. It is like I am getting my moral compass raped every time a minority says something. So if they will just shut the fuck up about whatever issue they are going on about I'll not have to say anything to anybody. Problem solved!

LTJG (Join to see) - I a prety fed up with the whole agenda to demand a small minority of individuals be seen as a normal majority. The blatant fact is you want everyone to accept your unconventional lifestyle as a norm, and get offended by anyone who says "nope, that there is unusual." I have many gay and lesbian freinds some of who I served with. However I do not see them as Pat - gay dude. I see them as Pat. You want to be accepted? Stop throwing your sexual identification in everyone's face, do the same AFPT requirement as male soldiers as they were put there for SURVIVAL reasons, and just be yourself. If you have to identify by your sexual oriet=ntation to tbe point everyoen else has - you have the problem not the rest of the world.

SGT William Howell - I'm offended at you. I consider myself a Black straight male lesbian, and there is no special code word for men who are lesbians, Black or White. You're forcing your majority rules and infringing on my rights to love women. I am in love with both of these ladies, but can only marry one due to laws that discriminate and tell me I can only have one at a time. I'm lodging a complaint....who is your NCO? Household 06 is not a NCO.

SGT William Howell - You ask for your labels, well you are a cisgender heterosexual male, so you get C and H (or S), as well as DMAB (designated male at birth). You typically would be called "cishet", which is just an easy way of describing you, and in no way is an offensive term. We can't just use straight and gay, because there are so many more types of people. The world's population can not fit into two boxes. There are over 7 billion boxes because we are all unique.
SPC Dawn Appelberg (Johnson) - If you lived your whole life where everybody said you were "abnormal", "unconventional", "unusual" etc., would you just say "Well, that's my lot in life. I'm fine with everyone basically saying I'm a freak."? How am I throwing anything in anyone's face if I am just wanting to exist without being called a freak? I do NOT want everyone to identify me as "that trans officer" or "the lesbian chick". However, that seems to be what everyone wants to point out because people think that I am incapable of serving for those very reasons.

LTJG (Join to see) Everybody fits into a box. We all have prejudices. Every sub social class believes they are superior to other classes. We have it in the military. The Army is better than the Navy. Don't believe me, just ask me (with the exception of football where a numerical value can given. Then it is documented that the Army Mules suck!). It goes into different MOS. I was told that MP's set the Army standard. We are what others in the Army strive to be. I believed that bullshit right up till I worked with Cav Scouts and realized I didn't know shit about how to keep from getting myself and others killed in combat.
The Tuskegee Airmen, some of my personal heroes, did not stand up and demand equal treatment, because they knew that pushing too hard is only going to get people pushing back. They quietly made themselves into exceptional pilots and finally made themselves a name. Everybody wanted the Red Tails to escort them. Not because they were black, because they kept the bomber crews from getting killed. Oh I am sure they were still called names, but they had those racist respect. A couple generations later nobody thinks one way or another about a black pilot. They did not demand, they earned respect. Was it right, hell no it was not the right way to do things, but it was the way things had to be done. So not only did these men become out-fucking-standing pilots, they were smart enough to know how to make they system work for them. Pretty dog gone smart for a bunch of guys that the Army said lacked they ability to understand something as complicated as flight. That is why they are heroes. They used what they had to overcome 300 years of stereotypes.
Now ask yourself are you that smart? As hard as you push there are going to be more pushing back as hard if not harder. You pushed me and I pushed back. Not because I am a homophone, because I don't like people telling me my opinion. (I was stationed on Treasure Island in San Fran and I was going to drag shows with my shipmates before you were even born. I am strait, but some of my Navy friends were gay long before the worst you got was somebody calling you a fag.) Proving you can do your job in the military is going to take you a lot further that any flag waving. Smiling instead of pointing fingers will get you far.
Hey, just the opinion of an old dude
