There is a lot of money and influence to be gained by sustaining problems. I don't see either side doing anything substantial to change that paradigm.

MAJ L. Nicholas Smith It's why people don't cure diseases anymore. There are treatments that you pay for the rest of your life that net more than a one time cure. Same analogy.

SSG (Join to see) - Correct. I simply wish people would wake up and understand the manner in which they've been divided. When our countrymen come together, we are capable of amazing things.

I agree. HRC uses racial tensions to divide and get there votes and Trump speaks his mind even when no PC.

CPT Durish,
I did, and found it interesting. I believe there need to be more initiatives like Compstat, look at the positive impact it had. I am very close to the stats in Columbus, OH. Growing up there, our next door neighbor was a patrolman on the city force. Dad used to ride with him occasionally and came home with wild stories. (This was in the late 50's, early 60's. Earl Burden went on to become Chief of Police in Columbus.)
The Rev. Al Sharpton is no H. Rap Brown or Stokely Carmichael but he can still rile up the black population. I was shocked by the report that stated the 73% increase in Nashville in fatalities. We lived just South of Nashville 1999 - 2004 and the media never reported that data to the best of my recollections, no surprise.
Thanks for that link, you always have "good stuff".
