My husband served over 21 yrs!!!!
He took his life in 1998!!!...within 6 months of retiring from WAFB, MO

Each veteran or other person who plans suicide and goes through with it is unique SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Friends and family members tend to be the best ones to note changes in behavior and demeanor which are indicators of suicidal risk.

Yes....& alerted his employer, law enforcement & his immediate family!!! Nothing was done! He even signed a restraining order against himself!!!! Do you hear me???? He was in a battle & the truth was hidden ... blackmail involved??? Horrific!!! Shame on the SYSTEM!

We need to connect the dots from the onset of PTSD to Unit to Redeployment to WTU to or Unit through the MEB to discharge to the VA care to post military living. Sometimes the process fails them.
