Thanks SP5 Mark Kuzinski! Most millennials are unaware these attacks killed more than the Atomic bombs dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These types of history lessons are critical for our young leaders and aspiring politicians to read. War is often brutal. It sometimes requires ruthlessness and overwhelming mass of firepower to defeat a determined enemy. It cannot be measured and controlled according to a liberal journalist's utopian dream.

Wow I had never read about this bombing on Tokyo before. I had heard of the Dolittle raid which didn't do that much damage, and the big boy and little boy being dropped. I know they said bombing Japan turned the war because it made the Japan pull there armies and navy closer to home to defend it.

As Harry Reid said, "We won didn't we?". When you have an enemy that is insane with ideology and religious dedication to an individual such as the Emperor or Hitler that will wipe you out at the drop of the hat, all efforts must be expended to save our nation and others around the globe. That was then, and our limited approach is the limited use of power. Which resulted in a win?
