OUCH!!! All jokes aside, had you gone along with what the outgoing CO wanted,karma has a way of working itself back to you. When it does, that outgoing CO won't say a word to help you, the incoming CO wants nothing to do with you, the XO is out to save his skin, and the Supply SGT will be a Supply PFC. It's hard not to want to take shortcuts, and I believe there are times to do it. But almost in every case, doing the right thing won't make you popular, but it'll save your hide and career. If you hear 1SG say this....then it's over.

It's rarely easy to do what's right, especially when others are pressuring you to do what's easy, & often more expedient for them, at any level, or position in life. But doing what's right, ultimately is the more rewarding, even if you are the only 1 who knows that truth. Well done, sir!
