The NFL has a history of veteran players and seven have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Throughout the history of the National Football League, there have been athletes who both play football and served their country. In fact, some of these World War II and Vietnam veterans were even named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The current generation of Iraq and Afghanistan service member-athletes are no exception.
In honor of Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7, here are seven NFL players who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Collin Mooney played for Army and than the Titans for a few years and currently is with the Falcons. He worked out with my oldest son who also played college ball. Great young man. I don't know if we was in the war or not.

If you believe, and you're willing to throw caution to the wind, there isn't much you cannot do. To the JE's on here.....my statement DOES NOT mean you can believe after a few shots, you can fly from the second floor. No amount of believing will help you there.

Thanks for letting is know SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Didn't realize that seven pro-football players served in the military since 9/11/2001. One day it would be interesting to learn how many veterans have served in pro-sports since WWII. I would expect the percentage of pro-sports players who served in teh military since WWII is higher than the percentage of US Congressman and women - I hope I am mistaken but I doubt it.
