Bill currently serves in the Joint Staff J5 as a Division Chief with responsibility for Iran. He is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the International Institute of Strategic Studies, an adjunct instructor for the University of Maryland University College and recently served as a visiting Associate Professor at Georgetown University. He has published over two dozen books, monographs, opinion pieces, and journal articles.
