Spending on migrants in Denver has ballooned to an estimated $356 million, an updated analysis by the Common Sense Institute says. The estimate, which amounts to $7,900 per foreign national in the city, includes spending from the city, schools, and health care systems. Denver has seen an influx of almost 43,000 migrants since 2022. The city has received significant federal funding for migrant response. Trump has taken aim at so-called sanctuary cities like Denver as part of his broader plan to crack down on illegal immigration and crime, and deport an untold number of criminal alienas in the U.S. illegally. In Colorado, state law bars state and local agencies from arresting individuals based on detainer requests from ICE

Just another big 'Eff You' to the citizens of Denver. They must like it though as there is zero uproar.

I have a good friend that lives is the Denver Area. I won't say where but his businesses and even his philanthropic events came under attack until he registered as a democrat then it stopped. So I already know this guy is an ass.

I was an insurance investigator here in Colorado when the Denver dunce became mayor. Between the defund the police movement and Biden’s lack of a cohesive illegal immigrant policy, coupled with the Denver mayor believing that the American taxpayer should pay for illegal guests over the native born homeless sleeping on the streets, Denver Police Department does not respond to property crimes. A victim is guided to an online portal, where the victim completes their own police report and submits it electronically. A desk officer will then call the victim, go over the report and acquires serial numbers on stolen property. The reports are completed for insurance purposes. The budget cutbacks to the police department by the mayor to pay for his pet project necessitate such actions by the police department. Liberals like the mayor in the Colorado statehouse did away with qualified immunity and the state cannot hire sufficient numbers of police officers, deputy sheriffs and state troopers to cover those retiring or quitting, as now individual peace officers are on the hook for frivolous lawsuits. Further, due the spike in thefts and break-ins, often committed by the significant number of street addicts in the city, insurance companies are either raising their rates to insure automobiles and residences or non-renewing clients. The liberals of California have screwed up their own state and moved to Colorado to repeat the process.
