About

A key org (and there are others)

Silicon Valley once abounded with Fabs (hence the nickname), a lot have moved out of the Valley and the State to include some going offshore and or subcontracting work to "foundries." Still, a lot of options in SV; however, there are plenty of opportunities throughout the US and around the world.
Edit Edit

Best parts of working in this industry

Developing and suppling cutting-edge tech w/a "zero defect" mindset.

Worst parts of working in this industires

Hours and deadlines can get crazy. Likewise the cyclical nature of the industry.

Depending on the Fab, working with toxic and pyrophoric (look that one up if you don't know) gases, nitric and hydrofluoric acids and assorted hazmat.

Ill-fitting "bunny suits" - but you'll get used to it!
