1. Roughly 3-4 brigades or ~12,000 North Korean Special Forces troops may be training and preparing to enter the front lines.
2. They will likely be used as brigade-level replacements rather than one for one replacements due to language barriers.
3. It is likely that North Korean Special Forces will fight as well as to be expected from any country that has elite forces. They will likely have superior discipline, although their lack of combat experience may make them less effective.
4. If North Korea sends any regular troops, they may have extreme problems with physical fitness and training although their discipline may be better than expected. My Knowledge Of The North Korean Military Is ZERO
BUT While Stationed At Osan AFB, South Korea, 05/64-06/65
Quan, A South Korean Soldier And I Became Good Friends;
Quan Took Me All Over The South Korean Villages And Towns,
Quan Even Managed To Take Me into The Mountains, Where The
Head South Korean Buddhist Nun Lived & We Got An Introduction.
With All The Time He And I Spent Together, We Got To Know Each Other Quite Well.
And One Of Many Important Things I Learned Is About Their Military Training.
Gentlemen : Don't Discount The South Korean Military Forces; These Men Can And Will
Fight Like All "L" And Do Some Serious Azz-Kicking; I'm Sure Glad They're On Our Side,
I'd Not Want To Get Into A Bar Fight Without One On My Side... And Don't Forget What
The American Express Credit Card Advertisements Say ~"Never Leave Home Without One"~

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney My Only Exposure to Koreans was in Hawaii when the US Sold them One of Our Old Ships. South Korea sent over a Whole Crew of Sailors and South Korean Marines to "Supervise" the Sailors. South Korean Sailors are Great if a Little Not so Worldly, South Korean Marines are Mean Bastards!

Not sure we can expect any more effectiveness than from the Wagner Group or other mercenaries Russia has used in Ukraine. These forces are just more Putin is throwing into the meat grinder. It all boils down to Putin isn't going to allow them to do anything without his authorization. North Korean troops may be a bit more indoctrinated into that concept but I just don't see that making them very effective. In the end, they're still troops that can't act without being explicitly told what to do.

I’m a veteran of the Vietnam war where I served with the Brown Water navy and although being on gunboats I didn’t work directly with the ROK’s but around them and I don’t know how good they are now but back when I was in Vietnam 1966 and 1967 I don’t think you could have found a more disciplined and ferocious soldier.

Last time I checked, body bags are nondenominational, non gender specific, non class specific, etc. Basically one size fits all. But the real question is will Russia or North Korea pay the widows in Ladas or Volgas?
