SSgt Tanner Iskra My twin brother and I were hung ho during the Vietnam War, all for God and country. We were living with my Dad and my uncle was also living with us; both WWII vets. The uncle had a friend who was a war correspondent in Vietnam. We were warned that during the couple times he came over to the house, we were not to mention the war. Being 15/16 at the time we wanted to know more about it. I suspect he saw too much when he was over there. My brother and I wound up over there two years later at 18.

I think that at that time in my life and at the age of 18 you only got to see what was on tv, and did not think about it to much however once I got there, I was able to see the things that they did not show you on tv.
