Veterans Day is everyday. The moment someone can walk outside and enjoy the fruits that America has, it was due to the hard work, blood, and tears of a veteran. Now people and stores see it as a way to get a day off work, and to make another reason to have a sale. Doesn't change how I see Veterans Day. We are the reason anything is allowed, and we are the defenders of everything that will be.

For most people, sadly, it means an excuse for another sale at the mall or big box.

Few non-military/veterans actually stop and consider what the price was of their unprecedented freedom...

Rabbi here 's our website at BC & you may enjoy the ceremonies on 11 November when we read the names of the fallen from each war. Then an active member of the military vouches for their service and lights a candle in their honor.

Sgt Tom Cunnally this is great. There are a lot of colleges and universities that honor their veterans, and it's wonderful when it happens. Especially since it's a learning experience for their younger students...

LCDR Rabbi Jaron Matlow - Younger ROTC students are invited to the Reception after the events on 11 November to meet all the veterans and guests ..This is the part I like the best and try to answer their questions because many are history majors who really know a lot about our wars.

Very cool. Now if you could get non-military affiliated students interested... Have a great ceremony.

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
