With recent stimulus packages, is there a good chance that the Army will be forced to ditch some of its modernization plans?

Will the Army be forced to cut many of its upgrade programs, one of them being the M16/M4 rifle? Your thoughts?

The Navy is already getting ready for it. The Army would do well to be ready for the swinging axe. More so if the White House changes parties.

The current govetnment is spending money like budgets, debt, and deficits don't matter. I don't foresee them all of a sudden tightening the belt - and starting with the military.

You assume that in Nov there won't be a change. There is good chance that it may go the other way and the party of blue is known to knife us for domestic projects.

CW3 Kevin Storm I am not saying that budget reduction is impossible or even inconceivable. However, current projections show a very high likelihood of Republicans holding on to the Senate. Even if they lose the WH, Senate appropriations will keep the whittling to a minimum.
