I was on San Antonio Meet Up for a time. I must admit I was not impressed with the "Meet Ups" advertised on the site and I never saw anything listed that was Veteran associated. I am no longer a member. If you find something on this topic, let me know SSG Carlos Madden.

SSG Carlos Madden - Actually I'm not real active on FB. I poke around a few times a week but honestly I don't "search" much really. Maybe I should start to. Thanks for responding. I'll search around some and see what happens. Any tips for an old Technosaur? Group names etc..

Sgt Albert Castro - I reached out to some group admins on some other sites. I'll let you know when I hear back. I know a lot of groups are based on an affinity to an activity like running, or community service, professional networking or something. Might help to narrow it down based on your own personal interests.

I've made my best friends by going to Meetup groups in every city I've lived in...7 assignments my first 10 yrs in the AF. You'll always be able to find people w/ similar interests through Meetup.com

Look for Team RWB or Team Rubicon. Both are veteran organizations that encourage vets and their families to get out and do things together. Here in Omaha, both organizations have things going on weekly from runs/walk/rucks to bingo with older Vets that can't get out to kickball games. They go to sporting events together, do mud runs and overall continue to bond as veterans. The groups are open to active, reserve, guard and veterans of all ages.

I've heard about these. Is there a website or a definitive way to connect with them? I live in San Antonio. Thanks.

1LT Dan Harper - The national page for Team Red, White and Blue is http://www.teamrwb.org. For a local chapter, you will have to just google it.
Team RWB’s mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.
