There are a ton of great songs about military life, that reference the military in some way; some of the more modern works may have a video associated with it, and some of the older classics continue to define the military experience to this day. From country to rock, ballads & pop, to more traditional flavors--did a particular song inspire, educate, or simply strike a chord with you? Please feel free to share any inspiring military-related music, any music or songs that makes you think of/or reminds you of your military service, as well as any links, photos, descriptions or anything that helps you tell your story. The idea here is to have a fun and thought provoking discussion, which will be fun, informative, and provide a means to tell our stories... and to learn about one another as well as our sister services in the process. Wishing you all the best, I look forward to hearing from you, and interacting with you all in the threads!

All American Soldier, hands down. I drank the koolaide, got the T-shirt, have the scars/cane/vertebral compression to go along with it. Wouldn’t trade my time in Division for the world. ATW!

As the Colonel says there are a great variety of military songs to choose from and I pretty much like them all. However, in the end, I must say, "GarryOwen" is my favorite. This was the favrite song / March of General Custer, and was one of many very popular marches during the Indian Wars following the Civil War!!

I'm not sure it qualifies as a military song but when I was on the USS Reeves (CG24) we always played Willie Nelsons On the road again when breaking away from an underway replenishment.
I also like 3 Doors Down When I'm Gone.

My father was from Berlin so I'll pick "Hundert Mannn und ein Befehl". You might have never heard of it but it does have a familiar sound.
