Over and over we are hearing about how one group or another is fighting for their rights, beliefs, or agendas. Some factions are encouraging the burning of buildings, defacement of property, rioting, shutting down of highways due to demonstrations, changing names of locations all in the name of getting their point across. We should stand up for the person or persons, who for whatever reason cannot stand up for themselves but when those persons begin defining who we are by force it becomes a problem. Politicians are being forced to go against their morals and beliefs to appease a small portion of the population. They are no longer representing the majority. This is a serious problem when elected officials no longer represent the majority. When people are afraid to speak out because they are afraid of retribution. When we are force fed the issues and told we must accept their desires because to go against it 'is not politically correct'. Are you afraid of not being politically correct? Has this term been used to hold us hostage because no one wants to be the person who went against the noble cause of 'political correctness' because it will mean political death?

History has always been one of my favorite interests. I don't want the history of the U.S. rewritten, I don't want the names of locations changed, I don't want monuments removed... these things are important, it is important that we remember, that we reflect on our flaws, as well as our perfections. It is important that we don't forget.

Well CPT (Join to see) the Nazi's, Pol Pot in Cambodia, Idi Dada Amin in Uganda and a host of others have already successfully for a thankfully limited period of time forced their collective wills on the populace under their thumbs until they had been delivered.
Totalitarian states and looters and vigilantes working from the bottom up have this in common - by their actions they force their will on others - usually not the guilty" ones just the accessible ones.

CSM Michael J. Uhlig This is terrible I had not heard about it. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I think we are losing our humanity, animals behave better than humans.

Voicing one's opinion is one thing, but these factions take it way too far. Destruction, defame and destroying is not acceptable.

What's the harm in forcing your opinion or the opinion of a faction onto everyone else?

Speaking up and voicing an opinion is simply communication. There is nothing compulsory about it. Furthermore, there is no need for anyone to force their opinions on We the People. We're only too gullible to believe all that nonsense without any form of compulsion. To be honest, politicians lie because We the People let them. Race baiters succeed in dividing us into hyphenated-Americans and socialists/progressives succeed in dividing us into different economic classes because We the People fall for it. That's why it's a waste of time to complain about politicians, race baiters, and socialists/progressives. It's much more effective to help educate We the People or, at the very least, let like-minded Americans know that they're not alone. Speak up...

Forcing certain political or religious ideologies on a sizable number of people in certain parts of this country can get you killed.

Realize the NSDAP was formed because they were not going to accept the PC/Communism at the time in post WWI Germany. The only way proven to get rid of PC is to become a National Socialist of a group/nation/etc. worth saving. However given the idea of National Socialism has been demonized for so long, and even any perceived leaning toward such, is so detrimental to a person, I doubt it will occur again.

If you want to know who is in power look for who you cannot criticize.

If you want to find a scapegoat, look for who you can.

Fortunately, though it took quite a few thousand years, we have arrived at the point where we've found a cure for the worst parts of our natures....

Political correctness should go in the trash where it belongs. I don't know how Americans got so damned sensitive and easily offended. Special interest groups that lobby the government in order to buy legislation that benefits only then in in my opinion anti democracy, anti constitutional republic and therefore un American. I'm 100% certain the founding fathers had not intended that a small group should be able to buy a representative and force it's will on the majority
