The Senate passed a law to go to one standard time year round; no more changing of clocks. Time changes impact our health and wellness (more medical problems with changing) but also have financial impacts if we stop the change.
Should we change our clocks or not?

I agree with the Senate for once, changing the time twice a year is a royal pain Lt Col Charlie Brown

There is no good argument for changing clocks.

Daylight Savings Time has outlived it's usefulness so it's time it ended.

Should we stop observing Daylight Savings Time and go to one time year round (no changing clocks)?

People still have to eat. Farms are why we have the time change, originally, isn’t it? It doesn’t affect me here in Arizona, but there are a lot of farms up north that might need it. It might be a bit of a pain for some, but it’s nothing like the International Date Line.

MCPO Hilary Kunz from what I understand Arizona doesn't observe Day Light Savings.

PO2 Russell "Russ" Lincoln - that’s true for most of the state. We’re always on MST, but but I think the North Rim goes with Utah and changes, as well as the Chenle area. Basically the most remote parts of AZ do have DST.

MCPO Hilary Kunz - That system is so confusing. I have only been through the state a few times, only stopping in Phoenix to visit my brother.

PO2 Russell "Russ" Lincoln - lol, it’s easy here. Just don’t touch your clocks. Half the year I can call my family in Washington in the same time zone (them on DST), but her dad in Texas is two hours away rather than one. My folks had a place in Yuma for years, so being stationed in California I got used to the time zone switch with them.
When we sailed out, or back home, we changed the time every other day, so there’s the Navy prep thing going on too.

In my humble opinion, I think it makes sense to stick with the current 'daylight savings time' that has existed in the USA Federal system since the Uniform Time Act was passed in 1966. It was initially enacted in the Standard Time Act was passed in March 1918 after the USA became involved in the Great War Lt Col Charlie Brown.
The states are not obligated to follow 'daylight savings time, yet most do
One of the concerns about eliminating the clock change, is that in northern states some children had to go to school in the dark and traffic accidents increased involving children.

LTC Stephen F. I grew up in northern Illinois, it never bothered me, it's either go to school in the dark or come home from school in the dark.

I've always thought we should move the clocks 1/2 hour and leave it
