What do you think? UCI?
In an interview with "60 Minutes" last Sunday, President Barack Obama said that though it was probably a "mistake" for Hillary Clinton to use a private email server during her time as secretary of state, it “is not a situation in which America’s national security was endangered.”.....
“Injecting politics into what is supposed to be a fact-finding inquiry leaves a foul taste in the F.B.I.’s mouth and makes them fear that no matter what they find, the Justice Department will take the president’s signal and not bring a case,”
Is this her big break?

CSM Michael J. Uhlig I don't think it is necessarily undue command Influence. I think he is trying to shape the "battlefield."
However, I suspect the President is trying to influence the course of the investigation for two reasons (1) it happened on his watch and (2) Hillary is running for his office.

LTC Stephen F. A great answer. I do believe that Obama spoke out of turn, but that has been known to happen with Presidents winding down their final term. I do believe that the FBI was totally IN-line to let the POTUS know that they didn't appreciate his comments though.

MAJ Carl Ballinger - You make a good point.
I think since he is the sitting President, even as a lame duck, it is his administration's procedures he is discussing so it is his own battlefield. I think he is focusing on shaping his legacy by the remark. The irony will be when some national security issues are compromised by what is revealed in Hillary Rodham Clinton's emails - not revealed to the public but made know to Congressional investigations which have been known to leak information if not details :-)

Hopefully the FBI will step this investigation up and scrutinize Hillaries actions even more now.
If it is un lawful to have classified documents on any server other than the Governments server....they why isn't Hillary in jail already. THIS BULLCRAP about "oh, gee whiz, golly gee I had no idea I was forwarding classified emails because it wasn't marked property....IS POPPY COCK! ..THE BOTTOM LINE IS Classified emails or rather GOVERNMENT emails are suppose to remain on government servers....it clearly state NO PRIVATE servers....so I don't see how hillary is innocent in the least.
Why bring up all of this other non sense. She got her own personal server, put it in her house and used it for her state department work. SERIOUSLY AND TOTALLY ILLEGAL! !!!

No matter what he says or doesn't say, it's going to be the wrong answer. He cannot win, and had he gave the typical Washington two step answer, he'd have no backbone to some. Whatever the outcome is, lets get it over with and move on. So many more pressing items facing this nation than this.
It's also been mentioned before that this FBI director doesn't play the political games, so why worry over spilled milk?

FBI Director Comey at Center of Clinton Email Storm
FBI director James Comey is at the center of a storm surrounding the Hillary Clinton email scandal, with the bureau now tasked with investigating whether the former secretary of state broke the law by passing classified material over a private email address.

You are right, any answer was the wrong answer in an on going investigation. He is a lawyer and knows this.
He is the top law enforcement officer in the nation, the DOJ looks to him as well as the Attorney General. While the DOJ should not be political, it is. Even if the FBI is not political, they have to provide their information to the DOJ. Sadly, most American no longer understand the legal system, or why what the President did, and has done, is so very wrong.

SMSgt Minister Gerald A. Thomas - Senior I wasn't meaning winning in the common sense of the word, but winning as his words would be correct to all. In that sense he cannot "win".

One thing that Obama and Clinton have in common is the fact that anytime they open their mouths bullshit comes flowing out.

MSgt Curtis Ellis They think they can get away with spinning it like that because they consider their supporters to be very stupid. I guess if they get away with it, they are correct.

Well, I think we all know the State Department does not have any secrets, so there was nothing that our enemies didn't already know?
If any military member, State Department officer...anyone in government...had done the same thing, we would have rightly been a giant pit of trouble. So why is this even being discussed? Because we have allowed ourselves, as a Nation, to become so uninformed, and uneducated that the masses allow themselves to be openly lied to on a daily bases. It is sad, but true.

PLEASE do a thorough investigation and just put the chips on the table. POTUS spoke out of turn. Let the investigation happen independently BEFORE running thy gums.

How in the hell can he say this? Is he trying to say that in the four years that she was his Sec. State he didn't notice all of the emails she sent him were from her private server?

Nothing like being part of a 15-6 and having the CG say 'Look into this traitor's actions!" Ummmm, yes Sir. Like you don't know he wants you to hammer away. No possible conflict here...lol

I can see where they would be upset, but they need to continue and complete the investigation.

IMHO, this is something that was blown completely out of proportion, as even GEN Colin Powell used a personal email account when he was Secretary of State. I feel this is a case of people looking for evidence to support the facts not looking for facts to support the evidence. UCI? No mainly because the email "controversy" has been centered around Hillary and her "actions."

What part of 'Politico' name makes you think this is official or unbiased? I saw a Facebook post that said she was a witch? I guess she must be a witch?

MSG Brad Sand - Just as there are articles like the one I found, there are as many articles that refute it. BLUF, GEN Powell did use a private email account to talk to ambassadors, foreign dignitaries, and American officials. Those are the facts. As I stated before, this is an instance where people looking for evidence to support the facts, not facts to support the evidence.

Wow, you saw the e-mails? IF Colin Powell breached security like Hillary Clinton, then he too should be arrested and prosecuted for the same reason. If Sec Powell was using a private e-mail for private interaction then we are talking something totally different and I think you are smart enough to understand that, of course I don't know you except for your posting here? I have a private e-mail accounts and many of the people I e-mail are people I have known during my career...BUT I do not, and would not, send the same official information in my personal e-mail or over any server that was not official?
So if Colin...I can call him Colin because we sat and spoke for a while and he is sharing his e-mails with you...is sending an e-mail to his friend Clark, who just happened to be the former Ambassador to China, talking about how their wives drank too much at dinner last Thursday at dinner...not a problem. Well, not a security problem, but I think you are tracking. General Petraeus was charged and convicted of felony for a much less violation of charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified information, so how and why is this being swept under the rug? Why are people trying to distract us, the American people...WE THE PEOPLE..., with unrelated information? Colin Powell had a private e-mail? President Bush was working with Great Britain to go to war in Iraq? So what, the President is either incompetent and unaware of how his comments could effect the investigation...which goes directly against his Juris Doctorate AND HIS OWN COMMENTS ON SIMILAR INVESTIGATIONS...or he is knowingly trying to sway an on going investigation. As a last thought, a President trying to sway the path of an on going investigation was the reason Nixon was impeached, I think this is dangerous ground for Presidents to tread. Of course, it appears most American no longer care about law or right and wrong.

Hyperbole and straw-man fallacies notwithstanding, BLUF it is a fact that GEN Powell did use a private email account while he was Secretary of State as I stated before and a point of fact that he himself admitted to. Look it up for yourself.
The rest of your rant (which is all I can say that it is because...really? Really, Guy?) wasn't germane to my post, nor addressed the fact that Republicans have and are looking for evidence to support the facts, not facts to support the evidence (It warranted being repeated because it appeared you didn't care to address that small yet essential point).

Of course it is, unless I missed something and the head of all of the alphabet agencies are now an elected position. She won't get into any trouble over the email thing, the Benghazi tragedy or any number of the things she has been involved with during her time in politics. Her actions a not much different than the actions of Mr. Snowden and they want to charge him with treason (and I agree that his actions were illegal, but not treasonous). POTUS uses his influence to change the outcome of anything he wants, as long as it fits his political agenda.
