It has been raining here in Texas NON STOP for two days now and apparently not going to stop till after Sunday.
I am sitting here typing this listening to it rain....and it's not just raining, it's POURING. It poured all last night...on and off again during the day and now it's been pouring since around 4pm and has not let up.
It's crazy!

Sgt Kelli Mays, yesterday the track of the storm looked like it might hit her area, but today it looks like NM will be north of the troubles. I hope so.
Stay safe.

Hurricane Patricia is expected to veer to NNE than NE, carrying the system towards Southern Texas and then off the Texas Coast. The system will be downgraded to Trop. Depression status as the storm weakens and remains over land in Mexico.
That the system is produced winds of 165mph, this is a whopper, however the terrain it will be going through has very high elevation. This will also start to dry the system due to adiabatic cooling and drying due being over land in general and then drying a bit being on the leeside of the mountains.
Winds have dropped as it is over land ALREADY with winds down to gusts of 115mph and will further break down, with the biggest problem being the rain shield an it's movement.

My aunt-in-law lived in western Texas and they are expecting to get hit by the effects of Hurricane Patricia Sgt Kelli Mays. I hope some of the rains help to reduce the drought in California.

System is indicated as a Tropical Depression as you see the red circle.
We will see further change as it lags over land masses but gets
caught up in the Cold Front that is moving East and Southeast.
