When I'm wearing a baseball cap, I have to resist ripping it off my head when I go in a store.
When I'm riding with somebody, I have to say "Clear on your right" at a stop sign.
I use FUBAR, "say again", and trackin'", waaay too much.
At Wal-Mart, when they call for a CSM to come up front, I always have to look around.
I call my college backpack my "assault pack".

CPT Carrie P. , I find it amazing when people walk into work 15 mins late and look at me as if it is ok. AND it is usually those same folks that need to leave early on a regular basis.

I say "Say again?" instead of "what did you say?" This is a direct result of standing comms watch and learning radio speak.

I always reply with "Say Again" when I 'm back at home and my friends and family look at me as if I said something weird.

Cpl Dennis F. , I do the same thing! Plus it's easy to spot a fellow former service member, because they will do it too. One of the little things in life I find to take joy in, is listening to civilians trying to do the same thing. They stumble and search for a word to describe the letter and it's hilarious.
I think of it as an audible Rorschach test LMAO. The words they choose can give me a good laugh, "That's Raleigh: Robot, Avalanche, Linda...uhh...uhh...Eeyore, (soto voco mumbling...'I? I? I?)...uhm Indian, golfball (oooh, SO close!)....and uhm hobbit!
It kills me every time.
