Have the women with combat jobs and have made it to the Ranger Regiment and Special Forces actually been fighting along side men, or have they been just for show?

As far as I know, the push for women in "combat" is mostly a sham to equate female social engineering with local nationals with actual combat for higher pay.
I was pretty strong, and slung hold baggage alongside men, but I would not care to have me as backup in combat. We are different.

I will be clear. I served in the 1/75th and later as an 18D on an SF ODA. I don’t see an answers from anyone with the experiences you are asking about. So I will share my personal opinion as I HAVE personally served in the Rangers and SF. I have a great imagination. I can imagine a woman have a genuine “SF moment” out of necessity and courage. But to serve in a Ranger squad or an ODA as a regular member of the team… no way. My response clearly limited to serving on a squad in a Ranger Batallion or on an ODA. No. Any other position? Possibly. But real world in a permanent position? That’s a big no.
If you have to ask why not, then you clearly haven’t served in a Ranger Batallion or on an SF ODA. And I can’t explain it to you.

We could not run the military without women . But not in Rangers and Special Forces where physical barriers exist . And those that question my statement are not thinking about the women that contribute making our military great by supporting those units .

Wanna bet this is some cook who considers women Combat Mattresses? (Not that I hate army cooks - I got one to thank for an entire tray of excellent fried catfish. I mean the ones who steal steaks out the back door of the mess hall. Yeah, you can guess the demographics for both.)

Just from my experience as an Infantry Co Cdr in Korea and spending some time on the DMZ, I can say I do not think any of my men would have responded well to a female CO. Why? Example, my guys loved to play a pick up game of tackle football and I would participate with these guys and it would get extremely physical! My soldiers respected the fact that I could take as well as dish out and kept myself in top physical form to set as good of an example of physical toughness for the rigors of infantry. Lets face it, combat troops love the warrior ethos and male vs female muscle in some scenarios could be the difference of life or death in combat. Another great example is what you see on many police officer chest cam videos of violent encounters against female police officers. Most of these female police officers are quickly overwhelmed by the superior physical strength of a male suspect and if it was not for their male back ups, they would be in serious trouble! With that being said, I have served with many outstanding female soldiers in non combat capacities and their performance is top notch.

*Shakes my head* Is this a serious question or a troll question?

If a women qualified ie passes the training, testing and qualification to be in combat arms and more specialized MOS/Units such as Rangers/Sf yes they fight alongside the men. There is no "for show" except in Washington. The military is not some social test tube. Leave that crap at the door.

Hope Cuba don't decide to attack! If so, we've had it.
