The military has always made service members that required extensive medical treatment Non-deployable. Now the SecDef and CinC want to allow individuals that require extensive medical & psych treatment to serve. How is this different that allowing diabetics to serve or people that are overweight? If a transgender does not get his hormones, they can become a detriment in Combat. Is it worth it?

I think that the military is the leaders of culture. From blacks to women to gays to trans people. If they can do the job who cares if they are male or female. I'm proud to serve next to anyone that has my back.

I think it's funny you don't even consider all the female to male transsexuals.

Are you from North Carolina? I am not happy about everything in House Bill Two. I support some of it but not all. Over all I am against a Minimum wage hike because 1) minimum Wage hikes are passed to the end consumer, and I don't want to pay 50 bucks for a trip to McDonalds for the family, and 2) Those jobs were never intended to be for a career.
As for discrimination, If you did not get hired because the employer did not like you for some reason...BUT WAIT...The US Military discriminates EVERY FUCKING DAY! Be a WHITE Christian MALE in today's Army. NEVER has a Senior Enlisted Promotion list be recalled because there was not enough White Males on it. AND GOD FORBID that they don't get enough of this race or that gender. They will skip over white males that are more qualified for promotion just to meet their quotas.
I am sick of hearing how this or that one is discriminated against. It might be that some people are getting a belly full of being told that they are REQUIRED to hire people that they do not want to hire. IF you want discrimination to not be an issue...then be the first to embrace a colorblind society.
I am good with removing all references to race and gender, and all photos from the records that are reviewed for senior promotions. That way the board ONLY sees the accomplishments or lack there of and qualifications...But that is a dream, that those who now embrace the status of victim could release that life jacket and let their records speak for them.
By the way, the bakery that the Federal Government sued and forced to close and fined the sit out of because they wold not make a lesbian wedding cake is the prime example of Political Correctness and Government Overreach. The Nazis could take a lesson.
