Hillaryclinton for president1
Do you think Hillary Clinton would make a good President, if you vote yes, why? Who do you think would be the best, front running candidate?

PO1 Jacob Dronzin Yes I can understand your confusion. Two things about me 1 I am a geek, 2 I am very old. In the original "The Day the Earth Stood Still" the alien Klaatu has to order his robot Gort to stand down and in his language it was barada nikto.

I'm guessing your a sub sailor (right term?) because you are in Marietta?

Negative on subs. Never been, nor desire bubble head lifestyle. I'm on a humanitarian transfer due to my father's medical ailments. Master at arms by trade (PMO equivalent on USMC side)

Here's an old phrase: "You know what happens when you assume? You make an ass out of you and me." Sgt S.P. Woodke I notice that you have a V next to your name, indicating that you're no longer in the service. However, on this site there are many active service members, and we act as if we're all still in. Seeing that according to Rally Point you got out as a sergeant, you should be well aware of addressing an officer. CPT Justin Rose never once made any indication of his political lines. The CPT was stating that in the current political climate that NEITHER side of the isle wants to work together towards a common goal. Both sides want to win, and both do it by spreading rumor and misinformation. You've made many assumptions about the CPT that he is the very definition of the propaganda of how EVERY liberal democrat acts, yet he has yet to even indicate that he is. It would behoove you to stick to actual evidence and behave in a respectful manner before others start making assumptions about you.

To answer, No. I'm not a fan of the career politics.

However, you need to see what will be available in the next election. To be quite honest; we need a change. Who wouldn't mind finding a person that might have been a state level instead of one on those from the federal level. It would be nice to have someone that keeps it simple.

For those that have taken our history classes understands how elections were done in the past and how they have evolved. Ex: our State legislators used to vote for our US Senators. Today we vote for our US senators, thanks to the 17th amendment.

What we need to have, is get those who have been elected to agree and act like statesmen/stateswomen. If you want to go and take the long road, need to press the issue of seniority. Look at trying to limit those terms for each office. We did it for the President. Look at now doing it for the US Representatives and Senators.

I'm a person that still love politics for what it's worth. As a member who served in the Vermont State Legislative Page, in Montpelier and US Senate Page, in D.C. in turned became a banker in my late teens and now in the military. All I'll say is; you can complain all you want. But, it's your job to vote.

If I read some of the post correctly go a head and vent everything out. But, also keep it in good taste.

well then thank God the decision wasn't up to you. You see in the Army promotions are actually based on merit. If i had fucked up as a 1LT i wouldn not be promotable. I know Lieutenants that weren't selected. So having someone disagree with you politically does not make them less capable of command. The two are not connected in anyway. But to your point, I guess the definition of 'intelligent' is subjective. I'll leave a few intelligent quotes for you to ponder.

"Literally, if we took away the minimum wage—if conceivably it was gone—we could potentially virtually wipe out unemployment completely because we would be able to offer jobs at whatever level."

"The news media should do a penetrating expose and take a look. I wish they would, I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out are they are pro-America or anti-America." (homage to McCarthy)

"The imams, the imams were actually attending, ah, Congressman Keith Ellison's victory celebration, when he won as a member of Congress. And the imams went to the Minneapolis airport to leave and go home. While they were there, they were shouting phrases anti-Bush, anti-America and they laid their prayer shawls--er, their prayer rugs out on the floor in the airport terminal, were having their prayers, and um, were making these statements and when they got aboard the airplane, they switched seats, they didn't go to their proper seats, and they went in the pattern of the nine-one-one uh, um, terrorists who were on the airplanes, and they all asked for seatbelt extenders on their seats, in the airplane, and these weren't large people. So, uh, there were people on the airplane that became very nervous about these public displays and they alerted the airplane authorities, and so, these six imams were taken off of the airplane. Well, the imams ended up suing everyone on the plane, the whistleblowers, and they said that their civil rights were violated. So that's been a big mess, that case, and I don't, I'm not sure, but I don't believe that that's been resolved yet." (a mixture of Islamophobia, appeal to fear)

"Well, President Obama is trying to bind the United States into a global economy where all of our nations come together in a global economy. I don’t want the United States to be in a global economy where, where our economic future is bound to that of Zimbabwe. I can’t, we can’t necessarily trust the decisions that are being made financially in other countries. [...] so I think clearly this is a very bad direction because when you join the economic policy of different nations, it is one short step to joining political unity and then you would have literally, a one world government...I don’t want to cede United States authority to a transnational organization."

"I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat president, Jimmy Carter. And I'm not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it's an interesting coincidence." (because you know, President Obama has the power to unleash epidemics)

There are endless quotes. Want to take a guess at the "intelligent" person that said those?

CPT Ahmed Faried, your use of profanity is unnecessary. We are all adults here so let's keep it a civil dialogue.

As to my question that you answered, if you picked the 3yr 1LT good for you. I would too. Now compare it to the 2008 election or even the 2012 election. The 5yr SPC is Senator Obama (2008) and President Obama (2012). The 3yr 1LT can be either Palin or Bachmann. What's the difference? Yes, ALL three have college degrees but Palin HAS executive experience as Mayor then Governor and Bachmann has executive experience in running a business. Where is President Obama in this? Well, he was a community organizer. WOW!!!! Lots of executive experience there. Then he managed to become a State Senator. Okay, I can give him that one but still doesn't equate to the experience of the other two. Oh, now we get to Fed Senator, which he managed to slink into by conducting personal attack on every single one of his opponents to ensure their withdrawal and ensure HIS "simple" election.

Okay, the last part notwithstanding, who has the EXPERIENCE to be President? Objectively, the first one would be Palin, the second Bachmann and the third Obama. Can you objectively say the same?

Not only no, but never! The Republicans have nothing but the same old thing - nothing new and inspiring for the rest of the country. The Democrats are hoping the rest of us forget all about Benghazi because they also have nothing new either and hope the Clinton name will revive the dynasty without a real leader, just another bully not responsible for her actions.

Neither mainstream Party has anything that is worth listening to because they are both so far to the Left and Right. The Country needs a healing MODERATE, someone who can work with both parties and not BULLY his/her way like the past administration has done. Someone who can unite and not further divide the Country.

SSG Seidel, I concur. The only way to get back to limited government and more responsibility is if the people get back to morals, ethics and standards. Holding those who do wrong accountable. Getting rid of toxic leaders. Until this happens, the downward spiral WILL continue.

SSG Seidel, nothing you said is in any a disagreement with what I mean. However, I think we need a LEADER, not a bully in the White House. Someone who can affect the attitudes of the different factions and reach consensus to govern the way the Constitution intended. I really would like to see Congress review and delete the current TAX Codes - all 12 billion words and replace it with something the average American can understand.
