Do 13F's when reenlisting for the 173rd go to Italy or Germany?

Like the title says, I am currently deployed and in my reenlistment window. I requested an ODA support battalion but, my Battalion Retention NCO said that was rejected by HRC, but said that I could have Italy instead. Here's my question, all of the 13F's to my understanding are migrating to the BCT's Artillery Battalions, and since the 173rd's Artillery Battalion is in Germany, would that basically mean I would get rerouted to the 173rd in Germany?

I'd get something in writing from your BN Retention NCO if they are saying you could get Italy.
I got to go to Itally TDY for a week. Was nice, but expensive.
Definitely reenliste while deployed. Should give you some extra tax savings on that bonus money.
Be safe.

Sounds like someone with wrong information, and not knowing all of the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team is split between Italy and Germany now. Sigh. Fail.

I think it is a safe bet to say that you would be going to Germany. Since DIVARTY is standing up, all FISTers no longer belong to the maneuver Battalions, they belong to the HHB of whatever FA Battalion supports the Brigade. Whereas formerly, they belonged to the HHC/HHT of whatever maneuver battalion they were tasked to support. HRC might say you're going to Italy but they might not know the extent of these relatively recent changes. As the Major said above, definitely get something in writing otherwise it didn't happen, best of luck to you!
