Can anyone answer these questions about Space Force?

1. What kind of rank structure... Air Force-like, or Navy - like.
2. Will members have to travel Space - A?
3. What will the duty uniform look like, and should they go ahead and start planning the inevitable change in pattern or color now to be ahead of the game
4. Will potential officers be called Space Cadets?
5. How will lieutenants handle land nav in 3 dimensions instead of 2?

Since our President has decided it will be a separate service from the AF, I suggest we compromise with Navy enlisted rank and AF officer rank

Lt Col Charlie Brown I like your idea about the rank structure. The Space Force enlisted personnel will be mostly "technicians" of various types. Like the other services, all Terra-based services will be contracted out so Space Force won't need people to mow grass, cook food, clean buildings, etc. They will need contracting officers and technicians, space operators, and space logisticians. My recommendation for enlisted ranks:
E-1 Space Recruit, "Recruit"
E-2 Apprentice, "Apprentice"
E-3 Technician "Technician" or "Tech"
E-4 Lead Technician "Lead"
E-5 Senior Lead Technician "Lead"
E-6 Supervisor "Supervisor" or "Supe"
E-7 Senior Supervisor "Supervisor" or "Supe"
E-8 Superintendent "Superintendent"
E-9 Chief Technician "Chief"
Officer Ranks would be the same as the Army, Air Force, and Marines (majority rules), but some titles might change. For example the whole "captain" thing could rear its head again in Space Force. What do you call the officer in charge of a space vehicle? Navy tradition would lead to calling her or him "captain" even if her or his rank is Major. The Navy almost solved this by making O-3 "Lieutenant" and O-6 "captain", a grade at which an officer should command something. Chioce is to not use "captain" as a job title and keep it for O-3 or to come up with new rank titles for O-1 thorugh O-3 to avoid the problem. I vote to refer to the person in charge of a space vehicle as "Commander". If you don't use "commander" for O-5 then the confusion is ended.
Uniform basic color is the same as the true color of space when seen from outside the Earth's atmosphere, black. The "NASA Blue" used in their flight suits could be used as the second color in unit patches, uniform decoration (stripes or piping), etc.

3. I'm thinking something tasteful befitting any chapter of the Adeptus Astartes (except ultra marines. They look like roided out smurfs).

2. They can travel Space-A (I saw what you did there) as long as their DS (Department of Space) Form 31 is filled out properly, and approved prior to travel.
3. Don't worry about this as there will probably be at least 30 more changes before the official Space Force uniforms are even field tested.

2. Good question. Can they be bumped if they’re in space? Could you imagine submitting a TRIPS report to 1SG for leave? “Are you flying more than 8hrs without a break”? “Are you planning on taking breaks”? How would you do a risk assessment?
3. Well the AF duty uniform is normally 5.11 shorts, flip flops, a loud print polo, and “operator glasses”, so I don’t see much deviation from that.
4. What would be “academy life” be like? Just say it out loud “I’m in charge of the Corps of Space Cadets”....when it sinks in, check yourself for pissing on yourself while laughing, and make sure your back last area is clear of brown debris. You might’ve sharted while laughing
5. Well the Pentagon just banned GPS, so maybe how in the cosmos will they be able to find themselves in space? It’s not like you can “terrain associate”.
I got a few questions:
1. How would they take a PT test in space? Tie em to a treadmill and say go? In space you get shorter, so how would it work out if on earth you’re 74in tall, yet when you do your weigh in in space, you’re now 69in tall? Would you still get flagged?
2. Will Iron Man type suits be issued out of CIF, and how will you ensure it’s clean enough for turn in? Will CIF be their usual dicheaded selves even up there?
3. If CSM won’t let you walk on the grass on earth, will he raise all hell for walking on the moon?
4. Will we finally be able to see SPC’s and Warrant Officers in space, or will both invent their own cloaking (aka shamming) devices?
5. Will being stationed in space instantly result in you getting BAH (even though you’re on a starship), BAS or meal card, Can it be command sponsored?
