We have seen this where Sarah Palin put some target areas on a map and was accused of threatening democrats...

If this were the President, you would see this all over the place as being an outrage.

But of course the associated press would never do that.

Same old, same old.

The left uses ridicule and emotional attack where their rationality fails.

The photographer that framed the shot and the editor that approved it were expressing their political ideology, as is all too common these days.

Capt Mark Strobl, I saw a report on the news tonight that showed the original picture showing Ted Cruz on a stage with two framed pictures of pistols on the wall behind him, which was not at all objectionable as it was clear that the picture was simply a decoration in the room.

The picture they went with was cropped for the effect they desired.

SPC Jan Allbright, M.Sc., R.S., Sgt Richard Buckner, Capt Seid Waddell, the Liberal elites tend to not be able to see their own problems let alone apply the logic they demand of others to themselves. Remember the tolerance issue has been turned into a requirement and punishment for those who don't succumb and actually support those the left demands we should accept [new definition of tolerate].
I would like AP to use their logic of having an image of a gun pointing at a pro-2nd amendment Senator. I would suggest that AP use an image of an aborted fetus [pre-born baby for many of us] with its mouth opened as though trying to scream while pointing an accusatory finger at Nancy Pelosi, Hilary Clinton, etc.

Associated Press Addresses Photos Of Pistol Pointed At Ted Cruz's Head. Was this too much?

The AP has a history of taking dubious photos of conservatives, they did the same thing to former Attorney General Ashcroft during speeches that he would make in front of a statue of justice and frame the bared breasts over his head. They did this on more than one occasion and when comments were made and the statue covered for his next speech, there were comments made about him being a prude.

For a News association this IS too much. One might expect something like this from an opinion, or advocate personality, not from a News pool used by a myriad of news outlets.

Well, it was wrong for others, why should it not be wrong here?

Oh right it's the other side.

Unfortunately that is wishful thinking SSG Trevor S.. Liberals tend to overlook their own problems. Remember the tolerance issue has been turned into a requirement and punishment for those who don't succumb and actually support those the left demands we should accept [new definition of tolerate].

There is no picture of Senator Cruz having a pistol pointed at his head.

There is a picture of Senator Cruz standing in front of a picture of a gun.

In any event this is different that drawing "sight pictures" on a map ("X"s would have sufficed [but probably wouldn't have been as effective in letting the illiterate known that certain seats were "targeted"]).
