Few Americans are aware of the orchestrated nature of our Governments agenda. Clinton, Bush and Obama are following state dept 7277 signed by Kennedy in 1961. " Freedom from War" Better known as part of the NWO, In which we down size our military in 3 stages, confiscate privately owned weapons and give up our constitution to the U.N The last U.N anti gun vote was voted on by the U.S and all 43 votes to give up our 2nd amendment were from democrats. Our founding fathers told us " If you give up the tools to ensure liberty, you are truly ruined! "

The document is genuine, but should be taken in context. The U.S. and the Soviet Union were looking for a formal approach to disarmament talks. They finally agreed that the U.N. could be helpful in this respect. The state department wrote this U.N. proposal which was introduced to the U.N. Quite, obviously,as the negotiations progressed, neither side decided that this particular plan was going to meet their needs, so both sides backed away from it. Fortunately, however, the discussions from this U.N. proposal paved the way for nuclear weapon treaties in the next 20 years. The document does not (as some claim) carry the weight of law and was not a goal of any administration in the past 25 years. Nowhere does the document refer to privately owned arms.

Everyone should read it for themselves: http://dosfan.lib.uic.edu/ERC/arms/freedom_war.html

I disagree that there's a "plot" in the works, from JFK through all the presidents in the intervening years to take guns away from the American people and "give up our constitution to the U.N." Sure, I agree that gun restrictions have been introduced, but this sounds to me like a conspiracy theory run amok.

COL Ted Mc, I've also speculated that for the most part, when the Colonists spoke, they very likely sounded British!

I've been told that the "Yankee" accent of the time sounded much more like today's Southern accent.

MSG (Join to see), I don't know where in the world that would have come from, but as a Southerner, it works for me! The thought of Thomas Jefferson or George Washington talking as I do makes me laugh!
So, in the immortal words of the late great Southern humorist, Lewis Grizzard, "I'm American by birth, but Southern by the grace of God."

Well, I hope that we are able to see after these attacks in Paris, the UN can't stop people from attacking us! While I understand the fear that guns can be dangerous to society, there are many that are law abiding citizens that shouldn't be penalized.

Firearms have never been shown to be dangerous to any society? Quite the opposite in EVERY country where Firearms ownership has been removed or severely restricted Firearms misuse has also gone up. I submit to you that likewise the country's with the least restrictive Firearms laws have seen those statistics go down.Don't tkae my word for it do some reasearch and stop blindly fallowing the Masses some times the M is silent.

I'll counter the liberal talking point sites with one article from Boston(.)com.

"but crimes and injuries related to firearms have risen — sometimes dramatically — since the state passed a comprehensive package"

While I don't disagree with your overal thoughts in the last comment, I think you have it backwards. There really isn't any problem with guns, religion...and sometimes governments...it is always the people who abuse them or misuse them. Firearms or cars, or any other tool can be abused or misused by people...and they normally are. In short, the problem is with the people. When we fix all the people I will be willing to listen to their reasons for taking my tool to defend myself and my family...okay I really will not but that is for a much later discussion.

As Colonel Sherman T. Potter would say, "Horsehockey!" Even if this was a legitimate thing trying to be implemented there is no way in Hell the American people are going to give up their arms just for the U.N. to take them and enforce their laws upon our country. No way, no how.

Umm...
It is true there was an ill-advised UN treaty attempt to ban small arms sales. Leaving all weapons in the hands of governments and criminals. Great idea. So it got voted down.

Presidents all along the line could have espoused this view, but none but the very fringe of candidates has. The reason the second amendment exists is so that the citizen can protect himself from the tyranny of the GOVERNMENT. If someone truly believes that the second amendment must go, there is a process for that. Open debate. 2/3 vote by both houses of Congress. Ratification by 3/4 of state legislatures. Go ahead and try. Let's have this debate. I wager that even the most fringe congressman wouldn't dare introduce this bill, and if they did, it would not get far.

Let's find out.
