Are there any auto body or auto mechanic classes offered to active duty soldiers in the army?

I am unaware of any being formally offered through the Army.
However, a soldier is free to enroll in day or evening courses at any local community college offering them, so long as it doesn't interfere with their duty assignments.

SSG Dennis R. - They were always a great place to resolve mechanical issues but I don't believe the Army ever had a body shop; at least none of the installations I was on.

LTC Wayne Brandon - Not a formal body shop, however there was usually somebody doing body work, generally with assistance from one of the staff.

Go to the FMWR Auto Craft Shop. You can:
- find someone to do the repair
- leverage one of the in house mechanics to walk you through the repair n the Auto Craft Shop with tools from the tool crib.
- talk to a 91 series and see if they'll do it on the side for you for a fee. Or walk you through it

I took a welding class on active duty, in the same building where you could test for a general contractor license, but I would think that auto body and automotive repair would be too resource intensive to offer on post.
