There is nothing on the VA website to do so.

I highly recommend contacting a Veteran Service Organization to start the process. I hope you have all your medical records already.

LTC Klug, I’m a combat veteran of the Vietnam War where I proudly served with the Brown Water Navy. I made it back in one piece but that’s about all I can say about that. In later years I took it upon myself to file a claim with the VA for PTSD, Neuropathy of all extremities and Agent Orange and many other related medical issues. After five years of denial and frustration I finally took the advice of a Vietnam Veteran that I met at a VA clinic and checked into my local VFW. God bless them and the Veteran that recommended them it took about another year and a half to win. I’ll admit it I cried when I had gotten the letter from the VA telling me that I was approved. I can tell anyone this, don’t try it alone. There are many Veterans organizations out there that will help you but through my own experience I’d start with the VFW. Then talk with all of your Doctors about a letter of Nexus because I don’t think that you could ever win without getting as many as you can.

PO3 Paul Lowrey Good for you and I'm glad you were taken care of well by the VFW. I went to them as well. I didn't name an organization as that's a somewhat personal decision. I could have just as easily gone with the American Legion too, however the VFW contacted me first.

LTC Kevin B. - There is no estimated completion date or timeframe for a claim each veteran is different and each claim they all move through the process at different speeds

If you need an interpreter: Call [login to see] and select 0. We’ll connect you with a VA call center agent. Tell the agent that you want a language interpreter to join the call.
