So it seems that "Big Army" has been listening. I am currently in the Captain's Career Course and we will be the first class to have to take a final exam. No open book or notes, multiple choice mixed with fill-in the blank. If we fail and then fail the retest it is said that our DA1059 will reflect a "Did not meet course standards". Will this make Soldiers take their PME more serious? I know its working for me, I am already studying....

Same evolution is ongoing at the Sergeants Major Academy...just because you've been selected to attend training, no longer guarantees a promotion.

Once fully implemented and data analysis conducted, should be filtering down through the entire NCOES.

Finally! Courses should not have a 99% pass rate. Being able to hit Ctrl + F does not mean you learned the material. Little more stressful for you though sir. Lol

It sure is, but I hope that when I leave this course I will be able to quote the principles of Mission Command, Critical Thinking Model, Paul-Elder's Model, Unified Land Operations, and the 6 Operational Variables (this is all from the first two weeks!)

Of all the schools I have been to sir, the ones I still to this day remember the most material from is PLDC (the old tabbing and highlighting version), Jumpmaster (having to memorized verbatim eight or so pages of pre jump and a fill in the blank nomenclature test, and Pathfinder (also fill in the blank). The ones I remember the least from, BNCOC, ANCOC, and Battle Staff (also all Ctrl + F courses). more stressful now sir, but you will probably still remember it as a LTC or COL.
