I left active duty in 1995, transitioning from BDUs to a suit, and joined the reserves until 2013. In 1998 I joined the electic utility I still work for and while there, transitioned to FR shirts, FR jeans and steel toed boots. I sort of feel like I still wear a uniform. So, my question is: Do you still wear a uniform or uniform equivalent at your job? Volunteer work also applies.

Makes sense. A bit less obvious than my situation, but understood.

The company I work for has a very Google-approach when it comes to work attire. Basically "don't be evil"

Business casual, with jeans on Friday, but always a collared shirt. I have to say that I do miss wearing the uniform, it made getting ready for work so much easier without having to "select" an outfit because you already knew what you were going to wear :)

It would surely take me more time to get ready if I was more dressed up. I did that for 3 years. It was okay, but expensive.
