Looking for input, ideas, and feedback on what we can be done to increased member participation and traffic on RallyPoint, so we can provide input and feedback to CPT David Gowel CEO of RallyPoint!
We have about 1.8 million members and there is a tremendous number of current members that no longer participate or that haven't validated their service and the account is just collecting dust. What can be done to improve the website traffic and daily participation?
Provide some of your suggestions for the RallyPoint Leadership. This is a great forum and we need to provide constant feedback on how we can improve it for all of our veterans, service members and retirees.
Provide (3) things you like about RallyPoint?
Provide (3) things that need to be improved?
If you have more add them.
Thanks, COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Provide (3) things you like about RallyPoint? Networking, camaraderie, and the experience
Provide (3) things that need to be improved? Trolls, TAGs that are subjective, and someone responding on your post first and getting 100 points and not even voting you up for the effort.
First world problems I know.

SGT (Join to see) - same here- I have 2600 trailblazer points. I am up early for work and hit many that way early on. When I figured it out- I would thumbs up so it would show in my history- then comment after someone else did. In the past three years I only have about 600 of them- some do this and don't vote the post up. I read the summaries and click the links I vote on. The trailblazer making 100 points- not voting and simply leaving a good post comment seems excessive. I do like the salute- sign of respect- maybe if those were worth as much....

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - PO3 Bob McCord this happens when someone has not returned your salute. I like them- but when I am not sure what they are for it makes them a simple click.

Maj Marty Hogan - It sometimes reconnects me with someone I haven't heard from in a while. I wish after a week it would reset because the person might have missed it and we can't give it again until it is returned.

I don't even think about "points" attained. I respond of "like" if I have time & if I really do "like" it. I've got alot on my plate and can't always read everything, but I do try...

Put back the topic tag for "Coffee". I can't tell you how frustrating it is that they have "Bacon" and not "Coffee". I'm sure that has turned off many. On a less serious note, poll the owners of those "dusty" accounts. Asking us this question in a discussion thread will only elicit responses from those who participate on RP regularly. If "someone" has a list of email addresses for all who signed up for RP and can identify those with some minimal number of influence points, send them a poll. Find out what RP is missing, what would bring them back...

Great suggestion CPT Jack Durish hopefully those who participate at a lower level will provide some valuable input and feedback for the RallyPoint Leadership. I believe that regular members can have just as much input as well Jack. Let's see what happens and how this shales out. Thanks for your feedback and input! If yo think of anything else please share!

RallyPoint Members if you're reviewing and answering this question, here is a great link to the RallyPoint Support Center that provides a lot of great information on how to navigate RallyPoint (Much Improved). Take it for test drive, it's easy to work with - great improvement.

MSG Tom Earley - Very much in agreement brother Tom. Just like listing your old MOS. Hell 24T was changed restructured while I was in it to 14E and cut the course in half to boot.

Good morning, Mike and Rally Point Family. Things are going okay these past few days. Finally getting a garden put in, first in over 20 years. Now, I just read the "Helpful Tips" and it has created another question: Is there a "Helpful Tips for Dummies"?

Col Burroughs, this was a very useful site to help me navigate RP.
And I got my answer on “flagging” a post: unfortunately, it’s used to flag abusive content and not something I can use myself to find past postings.
When I saw that, I immediately thought of a couple of postings I flagged, mistakenly thinking it was something I could benefit from but, instead, it flagged your postings as abusive!!! I am very, very sorry. Your postings are NOT abusive so I hope whoever the administrator is here on RP would remove those flags. I sincerely hope I didn’t flag someone else’s very important post and I submit my humble apologies and will do 25 push ups & 5 laps around the yard.
