I am currently a medic, looking to reclass into the IT field since I have experience from civilian side prior to the Army plus pursuing a Bachelor's in Cybersecurity (currently accepted to inaugural class SALUTE honors society) with intent to go Masters.

MOS that I am thinking is:
25D Cybersecurity

Other options that I was thinking of are:
35Q Cryptologic Network Warfare Specialist
35T Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer

A little info about me, almost 40, want a career in the military/government, have family, have a 140 GT with no sub score below 132, have background in QA, IT, Producer (project management), network/system administration.

The drawback of going 25D is that I have no idea of what the assessment test consists of and the BS in Cyber I am going for is more policy and management versus hard coding unless I push my degree plan out another year.

I know there are some resources in the Army to get some official answers, which I have pursued but not heavily since I am not in my reenlistment window until October. I am looking for opinions and experience, particularly with the 25D test or the ISST for 35Q. I try to get as much information, formal and informal, before I make such a decision as this. Anyone in Graf that would be willing to sit and chat about this for a bit over coffee or something?

Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

I would highly recommend 35T. The Army is beginning to move away from using contractors to support MI equipment and focusing more training on 35Ts. I'm told there are over 500 soldiers training in 35T AIT now, whereas in 2008 when I went through, there were only just over 100.

Well, not being in my reenlistment window is hurting my ability to talk with retention/career. I don't have a "valid excuse" to leave work and the busy schedule, just to get info.

Completely understand and I did not know if you were in the window or not and that is why I asked the question.
