Does anyone have any Company level aviation SOPs? My Commander and myself put together one for the unit but I know there are more areas that could be covered. Looking to see what others have so we can compare and make a change before we publish. Looking for anything from maintenance practices to crew chief standards of conduct.

What type of unit? I'm in a AH-64 unit and I know mine differs from the GSAB and ASB.

I am a Blackhawk GSAB but I am looking for some of the overall practices. There may be a section written better or in more detail than ours. Just looking to compare so we can put the final tweaks on. Any SOP will help us to get the final product cranked out.

I'll take a look at what I got tomorrow. It's night time here in Korea and send it to you on global.

Got them - thanks. I really wish there was a standard SOP that units could build off of. I helped tweak a decent SOP for PC in Germany and always got excellent reviews during inspections. Tried to implement that here at Campbell and the ARMS inspector chewed it up and spit it out saying it was inadequate. Gotta love the system sometimes.

I agree 1SG, the issue is we are constantly evolving as new procedures come into the work place. A lot of the basics are common across units. A good SOP will state exactly what the unit does with out having a bunch of filler which means nothing. Having been through some of the ARMS briefs, its unfortunate that some of the inspectors take their personal opinion and try to enforce a thought or procedure even when its obvious we do not operate that way.

1SG,
Since 159th should closely mirror your own unit, I would suggest running over to their Saber and talking with some of their 1SG's. Have a Starbucks Summit and share info with each other.
