It had to happen. There are always a better way to do something. RP members keep these two guys in your prayers and minds, that this first ever surgery will work. I'm excited about this news because, If it does work, I have a nephew who lost his right leg at the hip, and this would an answer for him so he won't have to worry about his nub swelling and making it difficult to wear his prosthesis. Be sure and check out the soldiers rifle rest.
Summary
Early next week, two veterans of Operation Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom will undergo surgery at the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center that could change their lives.

SGT (Join to see) It's awesome how military medicine makes such drastic improvements during times of war. May God be with those hard chargers!

SGM Steve Wettstein, Someone who was thinking outside the box, probably thought of it. Thank God they did.

CSM Charles Hayden, It will be incredible. It's bound to boost the morale of the soldiers missing legs. Prosthetic research has come a long way for hands and feet and legs replacements. If this works maybe my nephew can be a candidate.
