They still aren't bad. In my opinion the Azalea I think it was called at Keesler was the best DFac I have eaten at, especially for breakfast. Scott AFB had a civilian chef who made some of the best steaks and ribs I have had up until the civilian cuts in 2013. I stopped going to the DFAC shortly after because I was on BAS by that point and I don't know if he ever came back. I haven't eaten at Whiteman's DFAC as I have remained on BAS but from what I have heard from some of the others it isn't too bad.

TSgt John Temblador, PI, CIPA, I was at Monkey Mountain outside of Da Nang. The Army liked to eat in our chow hall and we liked to eat in the Navy Mess at Camp Tien Sa whenever we got the chance.

My MEPS was at an Air Force Base. Chow at their DFAC was better than the chow at the fancy civilian hotel they put you up in for MEPS, and it was better than any chow that I have had at any DFAC since then.
