If you could face ANY military leader from any era in history in combat, who would it be and why? What about that fighter intrigues you? Remember that you would be limited to the war materials of that day. Think you can still win? Why?

Guy de Lusignan. He was about everything you could ask for in an enemy. Turning victory into defeat. Always taking the worst advice. King Guy was able to kill more of his own troops with terrible choices and leaving the rest is such terrible condition they could barely fight? You did not have to beat him, only wait till he destroyed his own army.

I think you might be a bit disappointed with the historical Ragnarr? If you are looking at going big cannot beat Xerxes...he led the 'entire' World and whipped oceans for disobeying him?

I was thinking Man to Man MSG Brand Sand, not Army to Army. Xerxes was known for his vast army and navy, not for his individual fighting prowess. There's this one time, at Thermopylae, where some dude named Leonidas and a few of his buddies said, "Hey Xerxes! Go screw yourself!" then fought him off for a few days being outnumbered over 10,000 to 1.
