WE CAN...WE WILL
KHOSTAN TAWANESTAN
Historically USFOR-A has been the US Command HQ in Afghanistan, differentiated from ISAF, which was the NATO HQ. The US Commander of ISAF was dual hatted as the Commander of USFOR-A, while in practical terms the Deputy Commander for Support ran the day-to-day operations of USFOR-A. Operational warfighting HQ responsibilities largely lay with ISAF so the main focus of USFOR-A was the organize, train and equip functions for US troops in Afghanistan. Logistics was a major focus of the HQ.
