I was Infantry for my whole short three years in the Army, trained at Fort Lewis Wa.served in an Infantry line company as a rifle man,and lastly and most rewarding at the time was an instructor on the patrolling range at Fort Polk La. I have to say it was the hardest, dirtiest, hurry and wait, chicken shit, demanding ,exasperating time of my young life and even after all that I read this post and feel proud to have been part of it,if only for a very short time in this 70 year olds life
